A few times each semester the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences invites a prominent particiant of a workshop to give a short talk of broader interest in the weekly program "This week's discoveries".
The talks are short (15 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion), and are aimed at a broad audience of scientists in physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, mathematics and computer science at the level of graduate students to professors.
Usually 80-140 people attend the lectures, a Lunch to Discover is provided prior to the lecture at 12:45 hr. near the 'Sitterzaal'.
